Turkey Lettuce Wraps

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup instant brown rice
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 lb. Wholesome Farms Direct Source-Verified Lean Ground Turkey
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1 large red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 8-oz can water chestnuts, rinsed and chopped
  • 1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 heads Boston lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh herbs, such as cilantro, basil, mint and/or chives
  • 1 large carrot, shredded


  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add rice.
  3. Cover and cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
  4. Remove from the heat.
  5. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Add turkey and ginger.
  7. Cook 6 minutes until the turkey is cooked through. Use a cooking spoon to mix and crumble the turkey.
  8. Add cooked rice, bell pepper, water chestnuts, broth, hoisin sauce, garlic powder and salt.
  9. Cook about 1 minute to heat through.
  10. Divide lettuce leaves among plates and spoon turkey mixture into each leaf.
  11. Top with carrots and herbs.
  12. Roll into wraps.
