Steak and Cabbage Stir-Fry with Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup smooth natural peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 3 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4 tsp canola oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. Wholesome Farms Direct Source-Verified sirloin tip filet, thinly sliced
  • 1 small head savoy cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2-5 tbsp water
  • 2 medium carrots, grated

Directions

  1. Blend peanut butter, orange juice, soy sauce, and vinegar in a bowl.
  2. Over medium-high heat, heat 2 teaspoons oil in a skillet.
  3. Add garlic.
  4. Stir and cook about 30 seconds.
  5. Add steak.
  6. Cook about 2 to 4 minutes until browned and barely pink in the middle, stirring regularly.
  7. Transfer to a bowl.
  8. Reduce heat to medium.
  9. Add 2 teaspoons of oil.
  10. Add cabbage and 2 tablespoons of water.
  11. Cook about 3 to 5 minutes until cabbage begins to wilt.
  12. Add carrots.
  13. Cook and stir about 3 more minutes, until just tender.
  14. Return the steak and juices to the pan.
  15. Pour in the peanut sauce.
  16. Mix.
