Seared Lamb with Balsamic

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 8 Wholesome Farms Direct Source-Verified 4 oz. Lamb Loin Chops
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • 1/3 cup fat-free, lower-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sprinkle lamb loin chops with salt and pepper.
  3. Add lamb chops to the pan.
  4. Cook 3 minutes until browned.
  5. Turn lamb over.
  6. Cook 4 minutes or until desired degree of doneness.
  7. Remove lamb from pan.
  8. Cover with foil to keep warm.
  9. Add chopped onion and garlic to pan.
  10. Cook 3 minutes until onion is tender.
  11. Add wine.
  12. Bring to a boil.
  13. Cook 3 minutes until liquid evaporates.
  14. Stir in broth and balsamic vinegar.
  15. Bring to a boil.
  16. Cook 2 minutes until reduced to about 2/3 cup.
  17. Serve sauce with lamb.
