Raspberry-Balsamic London Broil

  • 1/3 cup dry red wine
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp raspberry preserves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp finely chopped shallot
  • 1 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 Wholesome Farms Direct Source-Verified 1.5 lb. London broil


  1. Stir wine, vinegar, raspberry preserves, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Place roast in a shallow glass dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the meat.
  4. Turn meat to coat.
  5. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes and up to 8 hours, turning throughout.
  6. Remove the meat from the marinade.
  7. Pour the marinade in a saucepan.
  8. Add shallot and set aside.
  9. Brush a ridged grill pan with oil.
  10. Heat over medium-high heat.
  11. Add meat and cook for 10 to 12 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches desired doneness.
  12. Meanwhile, bring the marinade to a boil.
  13. Cook over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes, until reduced to 1/2 cup.
  14. Remove from the heat.
  15. Transfer the meat to a cutting board.
  16. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  17. Slice meat thinly against the grain.
  18. Add juices on cutting board to the sauce.
  19. Serve the meat with the raspberry-balsamic sauce.
