Calves Liver and Onions

  • 4 Wholesome Farms Direct Source-Verified 4 oz. packs of Calf liver
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3/4 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of oil of your choice
  • 2 medium onions, sliced


  1. Cut liver in serving size pieces.
  2. Salt and pepper pieces.
  3. In a skillet heat oil on medium-high.
  4. Lightly roll pieces in flour.
  5. Sauté until brown on one side, turn and brown the other side. About 4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from skillet and cover with foil to keep warm.
  7. Add onions to skillet and fry about 5 minutes till crisp tender.
  8. Put onions over liver and serve.
