Sauteed Pork Chops with Apples
Total Time: 1 hour and 40 minutes
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients
2 tbsp packed brown sugar
2 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
3/4 tsp black pepper
4 (8 oz) bone-in pork center-cut chops, cut ¾ inch thick
2 tsp and 1 tbsp canola oil, divided
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 cups thinly sliced Granny Smith apples
1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
Directions:
Mix brown sugar, chile powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, and black pepper in a bowl.
Cover all sides of chops with 2 teaspoons oil.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the rub evenly over chops.
Massage rub in to chops.
Refrigerate covered for 1 hour.
Preheat a skillet for 2 minutes over medium-high heat.
Add 1 tablespoon oil.
Add chops.
Cook 7 to 10 minutes, until 145 degrees F. Turn halfway through.
Transfer chops to a warm platter.
Cover to keep warm.
Remove skillet from heat.
Add wine to skillet.
Stir to scrape up any browned bits.
Return skillet to heat.
Add apple slices and broth.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce to a simmer and cook 3 minutes until apples are tender.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer apples to a bowl.
Cover to keep warm.
Bring mixture in skillet to a boil.
Boil 5 minutes until liquid is reduced by half.
Return chops and apples.
Heat through.
